Import your reading history

Already tracking your books elsewhere? Import your reading history to instantly personalise your BookDeck recommendations.

Import from StoryGraph

Step 1 — Export your data from StoryGraph

  1. Sign in to your StoryGraph account at app.thestorygraph.com
  2. Select Manage Account from the burger menu in the top right
  3. Scroll down to the Manage Your Data section
  4. Click Export StoryGraph Library and wait for the email
  5. Download the CSV file from the email and save it to your device

Step 2 — Upload to BookDeck

Once you have the CSV file, head to your account page and use the import section at the top to upload it.

What gets imported? Books you've read, are currently reading, want to read, or didn't finish. Ratings are used to fine-tune your taste profile — highly-rated books are added to your Deck.

Import from Goodreads

Step 1 — Export your data from Goodreads

  1. Visit the Goodreads Import/Export page
  2. Click Export Library — Goodreads will prepare a CSV file
  3. Download the goodreads_library_export.csv file to your device

Step 2 — Upload to BookDeck

Once you have the CSV file, head to your account page and use the Goodreads import section to upload it.
